— Our starting point

Built with
respect

After a walk, a bike ride or a long evening round the campfire, the wood-fired sauna barrel is the perfect place to warm up and relax.

Light the fire, feel the heat build up slowly and enjoy a moment of pure tranquillity. The sauna barrel is for your group’s exclusive use and makes every stay just that little bit more special, whatever the season.

Comfort for the future

By restoring rather than replacing, this place will remain a home for new memories for generations to come.

— philosophy

Built for today & tomorrow.

Villa Vigor is the result of careful choices. We restored what was of value, carried out further construction whilst respecting the surroundings, and opted for materials and solutions that will stand the test of time. In this way, the property retains its character without compromising on comfort.

— Preservation

Restored, not replaced

Wherever possible, the original features were preserved. Existing walls, beams and structures were given a new lease of life rather than being replaced. As a result, the character of the farmstead remains evident in every detail that has stood the test of time.

— Comfort

Comfort without compromise

Behind the historic façade lies modern comfort. Good insulation, efficient heating and well-considered choices ensure a pleasant stay, with lower energy consumption and respect for the building.

— Frequently Asked Questions

Good to know.

Do you have any questions about the garden, wellness facilities or outdoor amenities at Villa Vigor? You’ll find the answers to the most frequently asked questions here.

Is Villa Vigor a new-build property?

No. Villa Vigor is a carefully restored historic farmhouse. Where possible, the original walls, beams and other characterful features have been preserved, whilst incorporating modern comforts.

What sustainable choices have been made?

During the renovation, we made a conscious decision to opt for solutions such as solar panels, a solar water heater, good insulation, underfloor heating, rainwater harvesting, waste sorting and the reuse of existing materials wherever possible.

Doesn’t the historic character come at the expense of comfort?

On the contrary. Villa Vigor combines authentic charm with modern comfort. You can enjoy cosy living spaces, comfortable bedrooms and contemporary facilities, whilst the farmhouse’s character remains intact.

Why was the farmhouse restored rather than rebuilt?

The most sustainable choice is often to preserve what is valuable. By giving the existing farmhouse a new lease of life, both the heritage and a large proportion of the original materials are preserved.

Is Villa Vigor energy-efficient?

Yes. Thanks to good insulation, efficient heating, solar panels and a solar water heater, we minimise our energy consumption whilst maintaining a comfortable environment for our guests.
